Z.ai is Zhipu AI's free chat and agent app, running GLM models to answer questions, write code, and build web pages, mini games and documents.
Z.ai is the international chat app of Zhipu AI, the Chinese company behind the GLM family of language models. It is free to use on the web and runs models such as GLM-5.3-Flash, with Deep Think for harder questions. In agent mode it uses built-in tools for multi-step tasks and can create landing pages, teaching material, 3D models, mini games and blogs, as well as Word, PDF and Excel documents. The flagship GLM-5.3, released in August 2026, is built for agentic coding with a 1M-token context window, and Zhipu offers it through an OpenAI-compatible API and the ZCode coding tool. GLM models are released with open weights, so developers can also run them on their own hardware.
