aegis

aegis is a personal safety application that dispatches location details and incident context to chosen contacts during emergencies.

Aegis is a personal safety application that sends emergency alerts with location details and incident context to designated guardians. Users press an SOS button to trigger a six-second countdown, answering short questions about the incident so the alert carries specific information rather than just a map pin. Guardians receive a text message with a live-updating location link. Users can escalate alerts to a professional dispatch agent who can send police or emergency medical services, and include medical profiles, allergies, and blood types with the alarm. The application also features a duress PIN that appears to cancel the alarm while keeping it live, background location tracking, and evidence capture for photos and videos.
