SuperNav
SuperNav is an agentic navigation system that handles diverse tasks and scenes using a pretrained multimodal model.
SuperNav is an agentic navigation system designed for diverse tasks and scenes, ranging from finding objects and visiting multiple targets to fulfilling high-level requests. A pretrained multimodal model directs navigation through tool use, task-progress tracking, and context management without requiring navigation-specific fine-tuning. It turns each model decision into motion to navigate scenes effectively. The system is developed by researchers from Zhejiang University, Shenzhen University, and Causa Robotics. Experiments demonstrate higher success rates than evaluated baselines on single-object, multi-object, and demand-driven navigation, alongside real-world deployment on a quadruped robot.
