Sentry
Sentry is an external runtime failure management layer for LLM agents that detects execution failures and guides recovery.
Sentry is an external runtime failure management layer for large language model agents. It detects execution failures, guides recovery, and learns reusable lessons from verified recoveries without replacing the agent, environment, or evaluator. The system monitors recent agent steps for invalid actions and behavioral failures, applies hard and soft repairs, verifies recovery over subsequent steps, and stores verified soft recoveries as reusable playbook lessons. It works alongside existing agent applications to help them fix invalid actions, escape loops, and avoid unsupported assumptions across tasks. The project currently provides a paper and project overview with code and documentation planned for release.

- Applies hard repair for formatting and syntax issues
- Provides soft repair with targeted playbook lessons
- Verifies recovery over subsequent execution steps
- Learns reusable lessons from verified recoveries
- Uses label-based retrieval for failure matching
Use it for
- Managing runtime failures in LLM agent loops
- Guiding agent recovery from execution errors and loops
- Learning reusable lessons from verified agent recoveries
