SentinelMCP is a stateless reverse proxy designed to secure enterprise Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. It sits in front of upstream MCP servers, checking every tool call for identity, policy, and budget compliance before forwarding allowed traffic. The proxy provides origin validation to prevent DNS-rebinding attacks, JWKS-backed JWT identity enforcement, and structural token estimation to track costs. When a budget breach or spike occurs, it pauses the request and returns a signed resume token for human approval instead of throwing a server error. It supports Streamable HTTP and legacy HTTP+SSE protocols, and runs as an open source self-hosted service.
