Scholar Labs
Scholar Labs: Google Scholar's AI search that answers research questions by finding relevant papers and explaining why each one matches.
Scholar Labs is an experimental AI search in Google Scholar, announced on November 18, 2025. Instead of matching keywords, it reads a detailed research question, works out its main topics and how they relate, searches Scholar for each of them and then shows the papers most likely to answer the whole question. Each result comes with a short explanation of why it is relevant, and you can ask follow-up questions to narrow or widen the search. It keeps familiar Scholar features such as citing and saving papers. It needs a Google sign-in, works in English and is rolling out gradually.
