OpenAmika is an open source Live2D anime girl AI companion created by MekaHime that communicates via voice and text in real time while remembering past interactions. Users can run her fully locally using Ollama with a model of 27B parameters or greater, or semi-locally via OpenRouter using their own API key. Her ears, voice, memory, and eyes run locally on the user's Windows PC with an NVIDIA graphics card. She features optional add-ons including helpers like Hermes Agent and nanoMuse for errands, smart home integrations, messenger connectivity for Discord and Telegram, and remote access via Tailscale. The software requires Python 3.11, Git, and about 45 GB of free disk space for setup.
