Octop
Octop is Tencent Cloud's open-source, self-hosted AI assistant for teams and families, with multiple users, expert agents and chat app connections.
Octop is an open-source AI assistant from Tencent Cloud that runs entirely on the user's own machine or server, under the MIT license. One deployment serves several users, each with an assistant that only remembers their own work, and an expert library lets people switch to specialists such as an analyst, researcher or operations engineer, with AgentTeams coordinating several experts on multi-step work. People chat with it through a web dashboard, Feishu, DingTalk, QQ, WeChat, WeCom, Telegram or Discord, or programmatically over HTTP, and it can run terminal commands, operate a browser to fill forms and take screenshots. Connectors use OAuth and MCP, ACP links it to IDE workflows, a knowledge base adds RAG over documents, and security features include per-user isolation, tool approval, shell guardrails and PII redaction. It installs with one command, pip or Docker, and a desktop pet app keeps it on screen.
