Obsidian Second Brain
Obsidian Second Brain is an open-source plugin that gives Claude Code, Codex and other CLI agents a lasting memory kept in an Obsidian vault.
Obsidian Second Brain turns an Obsidian vault into shared, persistent memory for AI command-line agents such as Claude Code and Codex, so a new session does not start from scratch. Building on Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern, it rewrites existing notes when new sources arrive, replaces stale facts, and reconciles contradictions with /obsidian-reconcile. Commands such as /obsidian-save capture decisions, people, tasks and ideas from a conversation into cross-linked notes, and /obsidian-ingest transcribes voice memos with local Whisper or reads screenshots of whiteboards. Four scheduled agents write a morning brief, a nightly consolidation, a weekly review and a vault-health check, and research commands pull from X, the web and YouTube. It has 45 commands and role presets for developers, founders, writers and researchers.
