Next Brain
Next Brain is an open-source engine for neural simulation and native training across distributed systems.
Brian2 Atlas is an open-source engine for neural simulation and native training that connects neural equations to distributed execution. It retains the upstream Brian2 modelling frontend while adding its own execution backends and intermediate representation. Users define neurons, synapses, clocks and monitors, then execute supported models on Apple or NVIDIA GPUs, local CPUs, browser workers, or across multiple nodes using MPI. The engine supports typed state, schedules, effects, event identities, and forward and reverse execution plans with surrogate spike gradients. It is built for researchers studying neural simulation and network training.
