MediaIndex
MediaIndex is a local desktop application that lets users search, chat with, and edit their photo and video libraries entirely offline.
MediaIndex allows you to ask questions about your photo library, find specific images, sounds, and videos by description, and edit photos locally on your Mac or Windows computer. It uses local AI models such as EmbeddingGemma 2, RT-DETR v2, SAM, LaMa, and Stable Diffusion to handle tasks like object counting, text-to-image search, object removal, and image generation. Originals remain unchanged while new files are created for edits and outputs. The application is built for users who want complete privacy and local control over their personal media collections. Supported inputs include JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, WAV, FLAC, MP3, MP4, and MOV files.
