LLM for Zotero
LLM for Zotero is an open-source research agent system that integrates large language models directly into Zotero.
llm-for-zotero brings Large Language Models directly into the Zotero reader so you can chat with current PDFs, inspect figures, compare sources, and save notes. It works with standard API providers, local OpenAI-compatible models, WebChat, Codex App-Server, and Claude Code. Readers can get grounded answers with citations that jump back to the source passage, or enable Agent Mode for library-wide read, search, tagging, metadata, import, and note-editing workflows. It supports saving notes to Zotero items or local Markdown folders such as Obsidian and Logseq. The plugin also provides MinerU PDF parsing for higher-fidelity extraction of tables, equations, and figures.
