Kiro
Kiro is AWS's agentic IDE and CLI that turns prompts into specs, designs and task lists, then builds them with parallel agents and checks the code.
Kiro is an agentic coding tool built and operated by AWS, available as an IDE and a command-line tool. It turns a prompt into requirements, an architecture design and a sequence of tasks, checks the requirements for gaps and contradictions using automated reasoning, and then implements the tasks with parallel agents locally or in the cloud. Property-based tests, which check rules across all inputs rather than a few examples, catch edge cases that ordinary unit tests miss. Developers can choose Claude, GPT, open-weight models such as DeepSeek and Qwen, or Auto, and pull in context from tools like Figma and Terraform. The agent supports Agent Client Protocol, AGENTS.md, skills and MCP, the IDE accepts VS Code settings and Open VSX extensions, and the headless CLI can review pull requests and fix bugs in CI/CD.
