IDA Pro MCP

IDA Pro MCP is an open-source MCP server that lets coding agents inspect and annotate binaries inside IDA Pro.

IDA Pro MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that exposes an IDA Pro database to MCP clients so an agent can help with reverse engineering. It needs Python 3.11 or newer and IDA Pro 8.3 or later (9 recommended); IDA Free is not supported. Install paths are documented for Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code and a GUI, and ida-pro-mcp --config prints JSON for other clients such as Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Gemini CLI. The author now recommends Hex-Rays' official IDA MCP server instead. Sample binaries and prompts live in a separate mcp-reversing-dataset repository.
