Herald OS
Herald OS is an agent-native operating system that uses Hermes Agent as the interface to control apps and manage files.
Herald OS is an operating system built around an AI agent where users talk or type to Hermes to work across the whole machine. Instead of navigating menus and folders manually, Hermes opens apps, organizes files, runs routines on a schedule, and builds software. Every action that changes something goes through a permission system controlled by the user. It runs on Hermes Agent, an open-source agent by Nous Research, using model providers like OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, or local models. The system is available as a Mac app, a standalone Linux operating system based on Fedora, an Arch Linux package, and an Omarchy application.
