The Electronic DJ Model is a transformer model trained from scratch to generate DJ playlists track-by-track based on an initial track selection. It learned from 5,040 real DJ sets in the DJ Mix Dataset. A novel tokenizer handles the 63,040 unique tracks in the dataset. Due to data limitations, an 8 million parameter model was used to learn patterns instead of memorising mixes. Users can provide feedback using thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons to replace tracks.
