DeepChat is an open-source agent client for deep, focused work that runs as a desktop app on macOS, Windows and Linux. It connects to more than 40 model providers, including GPT, Claude, DeepSeek and local models, and works with any provider that uses the OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini API format, with automatic model selection by task. Integrated web search uses customizable search engines, including academic search, and several documents can be uploaded at once for analysis, extraction and translation. MCP support gives agents controlled access to files, browsers, tools and private context. Conversation history, API keys and provider choices stay on the user's own machine.
