Clawd on Desk
Clawd on Desk is an open-source desktop pet, a pixel crab, that reacts in real time to what AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex are doing.
Clawd on Desk puts an animated character on the desktop that reacts live to what an AI coding agent is doing, so developers can walk away from a long task and come back when it is done. The character thinks when a prompt is sent, types while tools run, juggles when subagents start, reviews permission requests, celebrates when a task finishes and sleeps when the developer is away. It connects through hooks to Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, Antigravity CLI, Cursor Agent, Kiro CLI, Qwen Code, opencode, OpenClaw and many other agents, and for some it shows permission bubbles that approve or deny tool use. It ships with three themes, Clawd the pixel crab, Calico and Cloudling, supports custom themes and imported Codex Pet animation packs, and runs on Windows 11, macOS and Linux. The project is free and open source.
